Privacy Policy

  1. Introduction REWOVEN, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Rewoven (the "Marketplace"), an online platform that connects buyers and sellers of pre-owned and new clothing made of natural fibres. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect about you, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to your use of the Marketplace at www.rewovenmarket.com, our emails, and any related services we provide (the "Services"). By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Services.

  2. Information We Collect We collect personal information in three ways: (a) information you provide directly to us, (b) information collected automatically through your use of the Services, and (c) information we receive from third parties. 2.1 Information You Provide (a) Account information: when you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in encrypted form). (b) Profile information: optional information you choose to share, such as a profile photo and biography. (c) Listing information: when you list an item for sale, we collect the photos you upload (which may incidentally include identifying details such as care-label photographs), descriptions, fibre declarations, sizes, conditions, prices, and any other content you submit. (d) Transaction information: when you buy or sell, we collect order details, shipping addresses, and tracking numbers. Payment card information is collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe — we do not see or store full card numbers ourselves. (e) Seller verification information: if you become a seller, our payment processor may collect identifying information including your full legal name, date of birth, the last four digits or full text of your Social Security Number, and bank account details, as required by US Know-Your-Customer (KYC) regulations. (f) Communications: messages, support requests, reviews, ratings, and any other content you send through the Services or to us by email. (g) Marketing and survey responses: information you provide if you sign up for our email list, respond to surveys, or participate in promotions. 2.2 Information Collected Automatically (a) Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, pages visited, and the dates and times of your visits. (b) Cookies and similar technologies: we and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to remember your preferences, analyze how you use the Services, and (where you have consented) deliver targeted advertising. See Section 7 for details and your choices. (c) Location information: approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location. 2.3 Information from Third Parties (a) Payment processor: Stripe, Inc. provides us with limited information about your transactions, such as confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card used. (b) Shipping carriers: when you ship an item, the carrier (e.g., USPS) provides us with tracking events such as 'shipped,' 'in transit,' and 'delivered.' (c) Social media and analytics providers: if you interact with us on third-party platforms or click on our advertisements, those platforms may share aggregated information with us.

  3. How We Use Your Information We use personal information for the following purposes: • To create and maintain your account and provide the Services. • To facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers, including processing payments, generating shipping labels, and releasing payouts. • To verify seller identities and bank accounts as required by law. • To communicate with you about your account, transactions, support requests, and important updates to the Services. • To send marketing emails, where you have not opted out, about new categories, features, and offers. • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service. • To improve the Services, including by analyzing how features are used and testing new functionality. • To comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting and responding to valid legal requests. • To enforce our Terms of Service and other policies, and to protect the rights, safety, and property of users and third parties.

  4. How We Share Your Information We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described below. 4.1 With Other Users Marketplaces inherently require some sharing between buyers and sellers. When you participate in a Transaction, we share with the other party the information necessary to complete it: for example, a buyer's shipping address is shared with the seller so the seller can ship the item, and a seller's display name and listing details are visible to buyers. Public profile information you choose to add (display name, profile photo, reviews you leave) is visible to all users of the Marketplace. 4.2 With Service Providers We share personal information with third-party service providers who help us operate the Marketplace. These providers are bound by contract to use the information only as needed to provide services to us. 4.3 For Legal and Safety Reasons We may disclose personal information if we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with a law, regulation, court order, or other valid legal request; (b) enforce our Terms of Service; (c) protect the rights, safety, or property of REWOVEN, LLC, our users, or third parties; or (d) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues. 4.4 Business Transfers If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

  5. Data Retention We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. After that, we delete or anonymize the information except where retention is required by law.

  6. Your Rights and Choices 6.1 Account Settings You can view and update most of your account information at any time by signing in and visiting your profile page. 6.2 Cookies Most browsers let you decline or delete cookies. Note that some parts of the Services may not function properly if you disable cookies. See Section 7 for more on cookies.

  7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies on the Services: (a) Strictly necessary cookies: required for the Services to function (e.g., to keep you logged in). (b) Functional cookies: remember your preferences (e.g., language, recently viewed listings). (c) Analytics cookies: help us understand how the Services are used in aggregate (e.g., Google Analytics). (d) Advertising cookies: where applicable, used to deliver and measure relevant advertisements. We will request your consent for advertising cookies where required by law. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from browsers that send it, treating it as an opt-out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

  8. Security We use commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you become aware of a security incident affecting your information, please contact us at [contactus@rewovenmarket.com] immediately.

  9. Third-Party Links and Services The Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, and services we do not operate. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

  10. International Users The Services are operated from and intended for users located in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

  11. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice on the Services prior to the changes taking effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
